Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Environmental Scientist to lead permitting strategy, environmental assessment, and licensing support for Gulf region projects across municipal, state, and federal levels.

You will engage on WOTUS delineations, endangered species surveys, NEPA analyses, and habitat restoration, collaborating with regulators and stakeholders while mentoring staff and supporting client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in environmental science, biology resources or closely related field.
• Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) or other applicable professional environmental certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead permitting efforts at local, state, national, and federal levels with agency coordination.
• Support projects including wetland delineations, species surveys, and habitat assessments.
• Mentor junior staff and assist with client relations and business development.
