Job summary

Brice Engineering LLC is seeking an Environmental Scientist III to operate from multiple locations including Salt Lake City, UT, and support data collection, documentation, and field supervision for environmental projects. You will assist Project Managers and mentor staff while ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality deliverables.

The role emphasizes knowledge of environmental engineering, RCRA/NPDES/CWA regulations, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of practical application of environmental engineering science and technology.
• Detailed knowledge of RCRA, NPDES, CWA, OPPA, CAA and related regulations.
• Ability to identify complex problems and develop and evaluate solutions.
• Ability to use analytical skills with scientific rules to solve problems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; willingness to learn new software.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Self-directed and accountable for results.
• Ability to understand business and financing needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and oversee site inspections, assessments, investigations, and cleanups per guidelines.
• Collaborate with environmental technicians in data collection and site evaluation.
• Prepare technical evaluations of investigated sites per RCRA guidelines.
• Provide guidance and oversight to project staff for documentation.
• Support permitting processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Review environmental standards and ensure proposals meet requirements.
• Create charts/graphs from data for environmental relevance.
• Determine data collection methods for site surveys.
• Lead in team dynamics and project planning.
• Serve as Deputy PM for projects and assist with client requests.
• Lead operations for key deliverables and act as technical liaison.
• Promote proactive safety culture and safe work practices.
• Be alert and perform duties safely.
• Perform other duties as directed.
