Pond & Company is seeking an experienced Scientist Lead to join its Environmental group to support projects across Atlanta, GA; Jacksonville, FL; and Tampa, FL. The role involves leading field studies, delineation, sampling, GIS mapping, and technical report writing, with responsibility for QA/QC and mentorship of junior staff.

Qualifications

• BS in ecology, natural resources, or related field; MS preferred.
• 6–10 years of environmental consulting or regulatory experience.
• Experience leading field tasks and QA/QC of work.
• Proficiency with GIS, GPS and environmental data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental field studies as task manager and field lead.
• Perform delineation, sampling, inspection, and data analysis.
• Prepare permits and GIS maps; develop technical reports.
• Manage junior staff and ensure QA/QC of deliverables.
• Support proposal development and client interfacing.
• Experience with DOT/transportation projects is a plus.
