Job summary

The State of Indiana, through the Indiana Department of Environmental Management, seeks an experienced professional to provide advanced environmental risk evaluation expertise and support with risk-based closure initiatives.

You will mentor staff, develop procedures, and communicate technical findings to remediation project managers, regulators, and stakeholders. This exempt role emphasizes policy input and training across pollution control programs.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate or higher in environmental science, engineering, or related field.
• Specialized knowledge in evaluating risks from chemical releases.
• Solid experience with remediation programs and R2 guidance.
• Familiarity with environmental investigation techniques and remediation tech.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to train others.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced environmental risk evaluation expertise and policy input.
