Job summary

The Environmental Manager position, within IDEM's Northwest Regional Office, leads air quality compliance inspections and enforcement actions across a 12-county region in northwest Indiana.

Qualifications

  • At least five years of environmental or environmental public health experience.
  • Broad knowledge of environmental protection principles, chemistry, biology, hydrology, and environmental sciences.
  • Ability to conduct facility inspections, investigations, and interpret technical findings.
  • Excellent research and writing skills for regulatory reports and documentation.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders and interpret legal terminology.
  • Valid Indiana driver's license required.
