Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Technical Expert to provide senior technical, regulatory, and strategic support for environmental restoration, compliance, permitting, and emerging contaminant projects across the United States. This role is part time as needed and allows hybrid work arrangements from any U.S. office.

The ideal candidate will navigate complex regulations, develop regulatory strategies, and advise clients on high-profile environmental challenges, reporting to US offices as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely related field.
• 25+ years of experience in environmental restoration, regulatory compliance, permitting, or environmental consulting.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations, including RCRA and related cleanup programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical and regulatory leadership for environmental restoration, remediation, permitting, compliance, and emerging contaminant projects.
• Develop and implement regulatory and stakeholder engagement strategies that support successful project outcomes
• Advise clients on federal and state environmental regulations, permitting requirements, and compliance obligations.
• Lead interactions and negotiations with regulators, government agencies, tribal entities, and other stakeholders.
• Supporting business development by identifying and pursuing growth opportunities with existing and new clients.
