Job summary

McClelland Consulting Engineers (MCE), an ESP Company, is seeking a senior project-level Environmental Engineer or Geologist in Fayetteville, AR or Little Rock, AR to support environmental consulting across Arkansas and nearby states.

The role involves managing projects and budgets, mentoring staff, and developing client relationships. Some overnight travel is anticipated; PE/PG and strong communication are valued, with opportunities to advance within a multidisciplinary firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Earth Sciences, or related program.
• Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist.
• 5+ years of environmental project management experience, preferably as a PE or PG.
• Strong written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to travel as needed (overnight travel estimated at 10%).
• Pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record per policy.
• Proficiency with ArcGIS and/or AutoCAD, and Excel.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Manage clients, projects, and budgets for both small and large complex sites.
• Schedule, mentor, and train junior staff.
• Prepare technical proposals and reports.
• Ensure project technical success and profitability.
• Occasional out-of-town overnight travel.
