Your role at GEI.

Our environmental group is currently seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager in our Woburn, MA office. This role is a unique opportunity to partner with senior technical experts to drive solutions for our government, industrial, commercial development and energy clients. You will work on a variety of Brownfields redevelopment, utility infrastructure, public facility, and contaminated site cleanup projects while developing and growing a client base.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties
  1. Manage a variety of environmental projects with varying levels of complexity and size.
  2. Support existing and new clients including participating in targeted marketing and business development efforts, proposal preparation, and networking.
  3. Cross-sell GEI's other core business areas (e.g., permitting, water resources, ecological services, and engineering).
  4. Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  5. Manage on-site field staff during the implementation phase of investigation and design projects and act as the primary point of contact in discussions with clients and contractors.
  6. Provide technical direction and training to staff, as necessary to complete assignments.
  7. Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop junior staff.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. 10+ years of experience working on environmental investigation and remediation projects.
  2. Seller-doer with an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to build client relationships.
  3. Professional registration (e.g., P.E., LSP, P.G., etc.) in area of expertise.
  4. B.S. or M.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. 40-hour HAZWOPER training.
  7. Ability to travel for site visits / inspections, client meetings, and business development opportunities (to include overnight travel, as needed).
  8. Possess a valid driver's license.
