Sage Environmental, Inc., A Terracon Company in Providence, RI is seeking an experienced, reliable Senior Environmental Project Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, professional, and capable of managing their workload and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment. General Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of an environmental project to ensure it is completed safely, on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Complete projects according to contracted scope; monitor progress and performance against the project plan.
  • Troubleshoot operational problems, recommend or resolve issues, and minimize delays.
  • Handle resource management, project scheduling, budgets, forecasts, and coordinate with external vendors, subcontractors, or contractors.
  • Conduct meetings and prepare reports to communicate project status to the team and client.
  • Set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate staff to meet targets and milestones.
  • Communicate with clients and ensure work products meet client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with APR to ensure engagement throughout the project, especially at critical junctures.
  • Manage invoices, change orders, and collections.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage large-scale and complex projects.
  • Define project scope, schedule, and budget in collaboration with clients or NAM.
  • Lead interactions with clients and stakeholders to align project goals.
  • Design, communicate, and implement project plans.
  • Lead safety efforts, including compliance with safety plans.
  • Resolve operational issues and minimize delays.
  • Identify and gather resources needed for project completion.
  • Prepare designs, work specifications, schedules, budgets, and select materials and staff.
  • Estimate costs, resources, and timelines.
  • Forecast expenditures and manage scope and schedule to meet budgets.
  • Monitor activities, allocate resources, and assign tasks to meet targets.
  • Partner with other departments for specialized resources.
  • Conduct project meetings and prepare status reports.
  • Mentor project staff and assist in problem-solving.
  • Coordinate with APR for oversight and quality reviews.
  • Coordinate with accounting for financial management, invoicing, and collections.
  • Develop understanding of project risks and adhere to company risk policies.
  • Lead safety initiatives and promote a safe work environment.
  • Monitor quality standards and practices.
  • Ensure consistent quality in project and proposal delivery, engaging APRs early.
  • Begin mentoring for Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer certification.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or related field, with a minimum of 10 years' related experience; or 14 years' experience without a degree.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), or similar relevant certification.

The salary range for this position is listed below, with adjustments possible based on location and experience. Final compensation depends on individual qualifications.

Minimum $99,200 - Maximum $153,800
