Job summary

ATI, Inc. is seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager to lead federal remediation projects from our Columbia, MD office. The role covers multi-year monitoring, PFAS investigations, and CERCLA-related reporting, with client-facing responsibilities and coordination with federal agencies.

You will mentor junior staff, manage scopes, budgets, and schedules, and contribute to business development while delivering technically sound solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ten years total professional experience with at least three years providing technical guidance on environmental projects.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with Federal DoD projects under CERCLA or RCRA required.
• PM/task management experience preferred.
• Related certification/license (PMP/PE/PG) preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience under detailed QA/QC programs.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Office; field equipment and sampling techniques.
• Experience developing/reviewing site assessments, RI/FS, and other technical reports.
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel, valid driver’s license.
• 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Ops and ER Training (29 CFR 1910.120) with 8-hour refresher.

Responsibilities

• Lead/oversee assessment and remediation of hazardous waste and petroleum-impacted sites.
• Act as a technical SME on environmental concepts, regulations, and remediation technologies.
• Support development/review of CERCLA, Brownfields and state investigations; remedial action plans.
• Provide technical support for site investigations and reporting.
• Prepare/review high-quality technical reports, regulatory submittals, and contract deliverables.
• Analyze environmental data to delineate contamination extent.
• Coordinate with state/federal agencies to meet objectives and timelines.
• Develop scopes of work, task orders, and cost estimates; manage schedules and budgets.
• Support marketing and business development in environmental services.
• Mentor junior staff and provide ongoing technical guidance.
