Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Environmental Planning Project Manager to grow CEQA & NEPA services in Southern California. You will collaborate across HDR’s Transportation, Resources, Water, and other groups to develop opportunities, manage projects, and mentor staff.

This seller/doer role requires initiative, technical skill, and strong leadership. You will lead environmental studies, manage task work, and ensure compliance with CEQA/NEPA while guiding multidisciplinary teams to successful project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years related experience in environmental planning or a similar field.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating/scheduling software; ability to manage multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate work of single or multi-discipline teams through the project's lifecycle.
• Produce and coordinate multiple projects concurrently.
• Establish client relations and participate in marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
• Conduct work sessions for deliverable development with staff and stakeholders.
• Coordinate staffing and workload; ensure on-schedule completion within budget.
• Track financial aspects and adjust work effort to meet budgets and schedules.
• Engage with accounting, operations and leadership for periodic project reviews.
• Implement QA/QC procedures and mentor junior staff.
