Job summary

AECOM has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Environmental Planner - Transmission to join our Environmental Planning and Permitting team in the Midwest. This hybrid role can be based in multiple offices, including Indianapolis and Detroit, serving energy clients with environmental permitting and NEPA work.

Lead projects, mentor staff, manage budgets, and expand AECOM's energy portfolio across the Midwest and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in electric transmission and renewable energy
• Travel ability for agency/client meetings
• U.S. driver's license required
• U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental planning and compliance for energy infrastructure and coordinate with regulatory agencies.
• Manage early-stage due diligence for siting energy projects.
• Provide project management including schedules, budgets, invoicing, and client coordination.
• Prepare environmental documents and entitlements for energy projects across the Midwest.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and lead pursuits and project teams.
