Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Mid-level Environmental Planner - Transmission focus to join our Environmental Planning and Permitting team in the Midwest. Hybrid role; based in multiple offices including Columbus, with US-wide consideration.

You will lead or support environmental planning and permitting efforts for energy projects, focusing on NEPA, siting, routing, and compliance. Develop client relationships and help grow our energy permitting portfolio across the Midwest and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• 4 years of relevant experience in electric transmission or renewable energy permitting or equivalent.
• Ability to travel for meetings; US driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support environmental planning and compliance for energy infrastructure projects.
• Prepare environmental documents and NEPA documentation.
• Manage early-stage due diligence and project schedules/budgets.
• Mentor junior staff and support business development efforts.
• Support projects across the Midwest and expand the portfolio.
