Spheros Environmental Group is seeking a Principal Planner to lead permitting and environmental projects from strategy to execution. The role drives business development, staff training, and client management, acting as Project Director on major projects to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

This senior leader works with clients to chart action plans, grow practice areas, and guide teams across disciplines.

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 20+ years directing CEQA/NEPA planning and permitting.
Proven leadership of large teams and project directors on high-profile programs.
Deep industry connections and strong client management capabilities.
Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple contracts simultaneously.

Mansioni

Leads development of permitting strategies for complex projects and programs, ensuring quality.
Delegates and reviews work across staff and technical teams.
Provides financial management of projects and budgets, addressing budget issues.
Addresses subconsultant and client issues directly.
Serves as Project Director for high-profile projects and large contracts.
Audits contract compliance and ensures work meets commitments.
