Job summary

Muller Engineering Company is seeking an enthusiastic Environmental Planner to support our transportation and water resources practices. You will conduct environmental analyses, ensure regulatory compliance, and prepare documentation for NEPA, ESA, and CWA requirements.

The role involves coordinating with agencies, engaging stakeholders, and serving in lead or project coordinator roles across multidisciplinary teams, while delivering quality results on schedule.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of professional experience in environmental planning or related field.
• Experience with NEPA, environmental permitting, and regulatory coordination.
• Knowledge of CDOT NEPA procedures and environmental processes preferred.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills for reports and documentation.
• Ability to lead projects and coordinate among multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with public and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental analyses and NEPA-related documentation.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies for permits and approvals.
• Lead planning studies, reporting, and project facilitation.
• Support business development opportunities and proposal preparation.
• Serve as environmental lead on transportation and infrastructure projects.
• Deliver high-quality project deliverables on schedule and within budget.
• Perform quality reviews of project documents and deliverables.
• Assist in hiring additional planning staff as backlog grows.
