This role involves executing environmental permitting strategies, preparing permit applications, and conducting environmental surveys.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline and have over 8 years of experience in environmental regulatory practices. The position offers a full benefits package and competitive salary ranging from $80,300 to $116,500 annually.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in regulatory practice in the environmental field.
• Skilled in preparing and interpreting scientific/technical documents.
• Ability to lead environmental field surveys and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Execute environmental permitting strategy and manage regulatory compliance.
• Prepare permit applications and technical reports for various agencies.
• Lead field surveys and perform quality assurance of environmental deliverables.

Skills

Knowledge of Maryland state and US federal laws

Technical writing abilities

Experience in regulatory agency negotiations

Ability to manage multiple work assignments

Computer applications (MS Word, Excel)

Education

Bachelor's or Masters' in Biological Sciences, Environmental Studies or related

Maryland Forest Conservation Act Qualified Professional or similar certification
