Job summary

Stantec's Environmental Services practice seeks a Project Manager and Senior Environmental Permitter with demonstrated experience in Massachusetts, to lead environmental regulatory and project permitting efforts, provide project and client management, and support business development opportunities.

The successful candidate will coordinate with resource agencies, prepare permit applications, and lead multi-project efforts while balancing client needs with strategic growth for Stantec.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project management and environmental permitting experience.
• Experience with coastal resilience planning and permitting is a plus.
• Knowledge of Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, MEPA, CEPA, and Clean Water Act sections 401/404/408.
• Experience with waterfront and in-water permitting for climate resiliency projects.
• Ability to present to public meetings and coordinate with agencies.

Responsibilities

• Identifying project-specific environmental regulatory requirements
• Coordinating with resource agency personnel
• Writing and reviewing technical reports
• Developing environmental permit applications (federal, state, and local)
• Presenting at public meetings
• Facilitating successful environmental permitting of multiple and varied projects.
• Developing proposals and managing budgets and teams.
• Maintaining client relationships and pursuing new opportunities.
