Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager to lead permitting and crossing efforts for utility-scale renewable energy projects in Illinois. You will coordinate environmental, legal, engineering, and construction teams to maintain schedules and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include managing subcontractor activities, developing crossing matrices, reviewing exhibits, and ensuring timely documentation for internal and external reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Project Management, or related field is required.
• Minimum of five years of experience in renewable energy projects, infrastructure development, or utility-scale project management.
• Strong understanding of permitting processes and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating across multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency with project management tools and matrix tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with environmental, engineering, legal, and construction teams to manage permitting efforts.
• Develop and maintain permitting schedules aligned with milestones and regulatory requirements.
• Lead the development of preliminary and final crossing matrices with input from stakeholders.
• Oversee subcontractor activities related to crossings and permitting.
• Review exhibits and documentation and coordinate meetings with stakeholders.
• Track progress toward deliverables and maintain project momentum.
• Ensure documentation of permitting activities and crossing agreements for reporting.
• Identify potential permitting risks and proactively resolve issues.
