National Grid is hiring a Manager, Environmental Permitting and Compliance for NY Operations in the Land Management department. Based in Hicksville, NY, this role leads environmental licensing and compliance across generation and natural gas operations, supervising 10+ staff and aligning with ISO 14001 standards.

The position requires a strong track record in regulatory engagement, program oversight, and clear communication with regulators and internal teams.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field; graduate degree a plus.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in environmental licensing and permitting, preferably with utility operations in NY.
• Supervisory experience leading a team.
• Experience engaging with regulators and stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of presenting to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and permitting/project tracking systems.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direction for Environmental Licensing, Permitting, and Compliance staff, aligning with ISO 14001.
• Oversee permitting and compliance programs for air, SPDES, ASTs/USTs, land use, wetlands, and waste management.
• Monitor field operations for regulatory compliance across facilities (generation plants, LNG, gas transmission).
• Oversee project permitting, coordination, tracking, and timely approvals.
• Communicate with regulators and peers to ensure understanding and issue resolution.
