Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks a Senior Noise Specialist in Dallas, TX, to lead acoustical and vibration assessments across diverse projects.

You will plan, supervise, and manage resources on major programs, with emphasis on environmental noise, architectural acoustics, and data analysis using advanced instruments. Qualified candidates have 10+ years in acoustical analysis, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Acoustics, Math, Physics or closely related field.
10+ years of acoustical analysis experience with track record in marketing, project management, staff management and client satisfaction.
Leadership skills and ability to manage in a team environment.
Familiarity with local clients and markets.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Highly motivated self-starter.
Excellent communication skills.
Familiar with GIS and GPS.
Proficiency with software used to process noise and vibration data.
Familiar with ISO and related acoustical standards.
Willing to travel.

Responsibilities

Be a technical expert with authority in environmental acoustics; lead acoustical and vibration assessments.
Plan and develop projects or design activities with significant impact.
Supervise work of medium to large staff of professionals and technicians.
Serve as Project Manager on larger projects.
Focus on environmental noise, architectural acoustics, and vibration analyses.
Use state-of-the-art instruments to measure noise and process data.
Perform other related duties as necessary
