Job summary

Ramboll Group A/S is hiring a Lead Consultant to join our Mergers & Acquisitions team in the New York City or Princeton, NJ offices. You will conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and environmental compliance reviews for industrial facilities and support post-transaction integration.

This role requires a BS in engineering or environmental sciences, 7+ years of ESA experience, travel readiness, strong communication, and the ability to distill complex EHS issues for clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.S. degree in a relevant engineering discipline (civil, environmental, chemical) or B.S./B.A. in a relevant science discipline (environmental science, geology, chemistry, physics, or biology).
• 7+ years of experience performing Phase I ESAs and environmental compliance reviews for various industrial facilities.
• Ability to travel on short business trips; travel typically 1–2 days, local or nationwide.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to distil complex EHS issues for clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Phase I environmental site assessments and compliance reviews of industrial sites to support mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other business transactions.
• Provide environmental compliance support across hazardous waste, wastewater/stormwater, air emissions, and related regulations.
• Travel to facilities for site visits (local and non-local).
• Support multiple projects and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Assist with junior team development, proposals, and cost estimates.
