Job summary

HDI Global Insurance Company is seeking an Executive Underwriter for Environmental Liability to lead and execute the US environmental strategy, underwriting profitable accounts, and building a nationwide broker network.

You will collaborate with the Environmental Liability team to grow the book of business, apply underwriter authority, and drive cross-divisional opportunities while shaping product development in a dynamic insurance environment.

Qualifications

• Strong presentation and people skills.
• Strong financial analysis background.
• Create and maintain broker relationships nationwide.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Excellent negotiation, interpersonal communication skills, and strong marketing abilities.
• Self Starter with an attitude to win profitable accounts.

Responsibilities

• Work with Environmental Liability Team Lead to develop and implement environmental strategy for the United States.
• Produce, underwrite and manage a profitable book of business.
• Utilize underwriter authority per framework and guidelines.
• Manage select wholesale and retail broker relationships to achieve objectives.
• Market with other divisions to generate cross-sell opportunities.
• Maintain strong knowledge of marketplace conditions.
• Make strategic recommendations to Environmental Team Lead.
• Collaborate with Environmental Liability lead for hiring requisitions.
• Participate in special projects and department initiatives as needed.
• Continuously develop and update products for the Environmental Liability Division.
