Job summary

Ategrity Specialty Insurance Company is hiring an AVP, Underwriting – Environmental Liability to lead market-facing underwriting for complex environmental risks and to grow profitable new and renewal business. The role emphasizes technical underwriting, broker development, and cross-functional collaboration across Claims, Actuarial, Finance, and Product teams.

The AVP will manage an assigned book or broker portfolio, ensuring pricing, terms, and coverage align with appetite while driving

Qualifications

• Demonstrated strong analytical and relationship-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience guiding underwriting decisions and broker relationships.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage Environmental Liability business within authority and appetite.
• Own book performance across premium, profitability, retention and new business.
• Develop and maintain broker relationships to expand submission flow and coverage.
• Provide technical underwriting expertise on complex environmental risks.
• Lead and develop underwriting talent and coach underwriters.
• Collaborate with Claims, Actuarial, Finance, Operations, Legal and Product teams.
