Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal Environmental Consultant to lead client development and grow the Environmental Services practice in Southern California, with emphasis on IH services including asbestos, lead-paint and IAQ. The role is based in Los Angeles or Irvine and requires strong marketing, relationship-building, and staff mentoring skills.

Qualifications

• BS in physical sciences or industrial hygiene, safety, environmental sciences, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in client-oriented consulting focusing on industrial hygiene practice (asbestos, lead-paint, hazardous materials, IAQ, mold, chemical exposure).
• California CAC and Lead Inspector/Assessor certifications or equivalent.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication, organizational and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with HVAC/building systems and relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with client stakeholders in Southern California to identify and pursue opportunities for Arcadis consultants.
• Market, sell, develop, and manage industrial hygiene and safety services regionally and nationally.
• Oversee preparation of complex proposals, reports and deliverables with internal teams and stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to staff in the Industrial Hygiene practice as an SME.
