Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Engineer/Project Technical Leader to drive technical delivery of water and wastewater projects. The PTL coordinates with the Project Manager, leads design work, mentors staff, and ensures quality while aligning with firm standards.

Ideal candidates have water-sector experience, strong CAD skills, and ability to guide teams through complex engineering challenges while engaging with clients and proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; travel may be required; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience leading water-related engineering projects and guiding teams.
• Proficiency in water and wastewater infrastructure design and regulatory practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and approve basic to moderately complex water/wastewater designs.
• Ensure designs comply with state and local regulations.
• Lead interdisciplinary coordination and mentor junior staff.
• Collaborate with project manager to drive technical vision and project delivery.
• Support proposals, client meetings, and technical presentations.
