Job summary

Aspen Aerogels, Inc. in East Providence, RI, seeks a Senior Environmental Engineer to lead environmental compliance at a solvent‑based manufacturing site.

You will own air, water, and hazardous waste programs, manage permits, and drive regulatory reporting through RIDEM, EPA and state agencies while maintaining the ISO 14001 system. The role requires eight or more years of progressive environmental experience in manufacturing, strong regulatory knowledge across Clean Air, Clean Water and RCRA,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental/comparable field is required.
• 8+ years of progressive environmental compliance experience.
• Experience managing air, water, and waste media and permits.
• RI regulatory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own site environmental compliance across air, water, waste programs.
• Lead permit applications and ensure timely approvals.
• Maintain ISO 14001 system and regulatory reporting.
• Coordinate with RIDEM, EPA, and other agencies for inspections.
• Develop and implement environmental action plans and training.
