Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to join our Environmental Services Engineering team. The role offers the opportunity to lead or support diverse environmental projects, including stormwater management, remediation, and environmental systems design, while working with in-house teams on design-build and EPC projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related engineering program from an accredited university.
• PE license.
• 7 years of environmental or civil engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge in standard environmental engineering techniques and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Available for travel as necessary (approximately 10% travel).

Responsibilities

• Design environmental systems and facilities.
• Lead or support environmental or civil projects including earthwork, stormwater, wastewater, remediation, waste management, and restoration.
• Prepare reports, studies, and cost estimates for client evaluation of options.
• Manage project scope, budget, schedule, quality, safety, and client expectations.
• Oversee construction and prepare construction quality assurance (CQA) reports.
• Deliver internal and external presentations; train/mentor staff; develop client/regulatory relationships.
