Job summary

Burns & McDonnell's Environmental Services Global Practice seeks a Project Manager to support the Environmental Engineering team, primarily in Kansas City, Omaha, and Oklahoma City. The role blends business development with technical leadership across civil and environmental projects.

The successful candidate will manage multiple clients and projects, lead scope and fee development, supervise staff, coordinate with regulatory agencies, and ensure project delivery on time and within budget.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture or related program from an accredited program.
Minimum of 7 years of related professional experience. Preference of 10 years of experience.
PE License or applicable credential.
Experience with business development, client maintenance, and proposal development.
Experience with project management, environmental regulation, and agency coordination (EPA, state agencies).
Experience directing and reviewing work products prepared by junior engineering staff.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Lead proposal development, marketing, and defining scope of work and associated fee.
Develop client deliverables and provide technical guidance to project staff.
Negotiate with regulatory agencies and oversee QA/QC tasks.
Manage subcontractors, contracts, schedules, and budgets.
Direct and review work products prepared by junior engineering staff and ensure quality.
