Job summary

Terracon seeks a senior environmental engineer to lead complex environmental projects, provide technical direction, and supervise report development. You will drive risk assessment, ensure quality across proposals, and mentor junior staff, while supporting client communications and marketing efforts.

The role requires 8–11 years of experience in environmental engineering, a relevant bachelor's, and preferably a master’s degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or related degree.
• Minimum 8-11 years’ experience.
• Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering preferred.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.
• Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer status.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of project-related risk and protect the Company.
• Monitor and promote quality standards and practices on projects.
• Lead safety efforts and promote a safe work environment; model pre-task planning.
• Provide technical direction and training to less experienced staff.
• Participate in development of marketing strategies and client qualifications presentations.
• Serve as a Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer.
• Supervise analysis and formation of recommendations in written reports.
• Assist in updating policies and procedures for technical projects to ensure proper interpretation and implementation.
