Job summary

APTIM in San Diego is seeking a Principal Environmental Engineer to serve as the senior technical authority for environmental engineering across the Government Remediation Business line. This full-time role requires leadership of a team and strategic direction on characterization and remediation of complex projects.

The successful candidate will bring 15+ years of DoD and CERCLA experience, a PE license, and the ability to travel to project sites and multiple offices nationwide.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive environmental engineering experience.
• Experience on federal remediation projects and regulatory programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical expert for environmental engineering.
• Lead development of strategic approaches for remediation.
• Advise leadership on execution risk and regulatory impacts.
• Ensure compliance with CERCLA, RCRA, NEPA, Clean Water Act, and Clean Air Act.
• Manage a team of environmental engineers and provide career development.
