Astrion is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to support the AFLCMC/HBD Theater Battle Control Division at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA. The position requires an active Secret clearance, a bachelor’s degree, and 12 years’ experience in environmental engineering with focus on fielding government systems.

Responsibilities include planning and supervising environmental remediation, QA, sampling, regulatory compliance, and cross-disciplinary coordination with program offices and contractors.

Qualifications

• Clearance: Must hold an active Secret clearance.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 12 years of experience.

Responsabilités

• Obtain, update, and maintain environmental plans, permits, and SOPs and monitor progress.
• Provide technical-level support for environmental remediation and litigation projects.
• Inspect facilities to evaluate operational effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
• Provide administrative support: data collection, documentation, training staff.
• Develop proposed project objectives and report progress to management.
• Advise on procedures to clean up contaminated sites and assist in budgeting.
• Inform employees and interested parties of environmental issues.
• Coordinate with environmental and acquisition disciplines on environmental questions.
