We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer 3 or Senior Civil Engineer 3 to work in a technical support role with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is a full-time, hybrid position located in our Boston, MA or Bedford, NH office.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will:

1. Develop detailed construction drawings and technical specifications.
2. Determine material estimates based on designs.
3. Assist with technical oversight, task planning, and task management for staff level team members on diverse design teams.
4. Provide meaningful technical guidance and mentoring to staff level team members.
5. Interface with contractors and internal staff on the Engineer-of-Record’s behalf during the construction phase of design projects.
6. Develop technical approaches for complex contaminated sites and identify opportunities to optimize/innovate existing and new procedures and systems.
7. Draft technical sections of project communications and reports.
8. Comply with the Guiding Principles and Code of Behavior articulated in our Company Charter.
9. Comply with Company and client Health & Safety protocols.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

1. B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering. M.S. degree welcomed.
2. Minimum of 12 years of environmental engineering and/or consulting experience with specific experience in the preparation of detailed engineering design packages and supporting engineering analysis/consulting for some of the following project types: site civil development, excavation-based remediation projects, landfill and leachate systems design and closure, stormwater collection, conveyance, and treatment systems, and/or environmental permitting.
3. Professional engineering registration in core discipline, or ability to obtain within one year.
4. Experience with the full range of an environmental project lifecycle, including feasibility studies, conceptual design, budgetary cost development, detailed design, and contractor selection.
5. A past background with the in-field construction of civil/environmental engineering/site development/waste management projects is a plus.
6. Experience with planning and managing project tasks and working effectively with multi-discipline technical teams.
7. Ability to succeed in a team-oriented environment, interfacing with a variety of different groups, to accomplish project objectives.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with clients, senior project engineers, and staff.
9. Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in industry standard Microsoft software. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is expected. Experience with HydroCAD or similar hydrologic modeling software is a plus.
10. OSHA 40-hr. HAZWOPER training preferred but not required.
