Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer (Level 5) to lead detailed cost estimates for complex remediation and civil projects. You will drive stages from planning through construction, applying CERCLA/RCRA knowledge and proven cost modeling techniques.

You will use MCACES MII and advanced Excel tools, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate, defendable estimates and informed decision-making across project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum 7 years of related experience; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of detailed cost estimates for environmental remediation and civil projects, across all delivery phases.
• Develop estimates during CERCLA and RCRA feasibility studies with lifecycle cost comparisons.
• Prepare estimates to support project authorization, budgeting and contractor bid evaluations.
• Use MCACES MII and advanced Excel models to generate accurate estimates.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate design elements into cost models.
• Support cost risk analysis, assumptions documentation and estimate validation.
