Job summary

AMVAC is seeking an Environmental Manager to oversee regulatory compliance for its Marsing, Idaho and Clackamas, Oregon facilities. The role ensures adherence to Federal EPA regulations, state and local rules, and company objectives.

On-site work in Marsing with occasional travel to Oregon is required. Responsibilities include training creation, incident investigations, audits, reporting (EPCRA/Tier II/TRI), and leading environmental program improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental, H&S or engineering field.
• Ability to obtain CHMM certification.
• 5+ years of environmental experience in industrial or construction settings.
• Experience with RCRA, SPCC, EPCRA, TRI and TSCA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all environmental regulations, policies and procedures are followed.
• Coordinate incident investigations and maintain records of environmental performance.
• Create and manage environmental training for plant employees and maintain records.
• Monitor legislation and recommend policy/procedural improvements for both sites.
• Audit and inspect environmental programs such as SPCC and hazardous waste.
• Prepare environmental reports including EPCRA Tier II and TRI.
• Communicate regulatory requirements to employees and contractors.
• Support HSE Manager with drills and the HAZWOPER program.
• Review and approve environmental aspects of Management of Change (MOCs).
• Perform other assignments as directed by management.
