Job summary

IAPMO Group in Michigan is seeking a Senior Environmental Specialist to lead environmental compliance across wastewater, storm water, chemical management and permitting. You will partner with Operations, Engineering and Maintenance to drive a proactive EHS culture and ensure accurate records and regulatory filings.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Environmental Engineering/Technology or related field and 2+ years of manufacturing experience, with strong regulatory knowledge and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering/Technology, EHS or related field.
• 2+ years of environmental experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Experience supporting health & safety programs alongside environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support environmental compliance activities for wastewater, storm water, chemical management, waste disposal and permits.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, permits and compliance documentation per requirements.
• Prepare regulatory reports and filings (air emissions, hazardous waste, SPCC/SWPPP, TRI, Tier II).
• Evaluate changes to ensure environmental requirements are maintained or improved.
• Conduct internal audits and drive corrective actions.
• Oversee wastewater pretreatment, storm water management, and spill prevention programs.
• Track and report environmental KPIs to plant and leadership.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance and leadership to promote EHS culture.
