Job summary

EnSafe is seeking a Senior Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our Florida team, with potential bases in Tampa, Jacksonville, or Titusville. The role emphasizes client and project management, regulatory compliance across multiple environmental media, and proactive environmental performance improvements.

The position offers relocation assistance and a path toward leadership within a growing service line, with travel to client sites across Florida and nationwide.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering, environmental science, or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant Environmental Compliance experience with consulting.
• Professional Engineer licensure or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager certification preferred.
• Seasoned technical writer capable of producing permit applications and compliance reports.
• Strong consulting, relationship-building and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of local, state, and Federal environmental regulations to develop and implement multimedia environmental compliance programs across wastewater, stormwater, hazardous waste, air, EPCRA regulatory frameworks.
• Submit environmental compliance documents such as SPCC plans, SWPPP, EPCRA Tier II and TRI reports, Hazardous Waste reports, and permit applications.
• Conduct environmental compliance audits to identify nonconformities and develop corrective-action recommendations.
• Provide project management for environmental compliance projects, including proposals, execution, coordination, and billing.
• Mentor and supervise junior compliance staff and help lead the Southeast service line growth.
• Overnight travel to client locations in Florida and across the U.S.
