Job summary

ATCS is seeking a Senior Environmental Compliance Inspector based in Virginia to ensure environmental compliance on transportation and infrastructure projects across ATCS' geographies, in the field and from the office.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in biology or environmental science, 6–8 years of related experience, strong writing and coordination skills, and willingness to travel; you will lead field investigations, prepare documentation, coordinate with agencies and clients, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, Environmental Science or related discipline.
• 6–8 years of related compliance experience with ability to obtain trainings as needed.
• Knowledge of Virginia DOT and federal transportation policies and procedures.
• Willingness to travel and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction operations to ensure compliance with environmental permits and regulations.
• Field investigations, data collection, and coordination with agencies and clients.
• Prepare documentation and manage permitting and mitigation activities.
• Lead contractors and environmental teams across ATCS geographies.
