Job summary

Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis is seeking a strategic, scrappy Account Director to lead entertainment accounts from a Los Angeles base. A seasoned leader with 8+ years of experience, you will guide complex campaigns and mentor a bi-coastal team, delivering high-impact, platform-agnostic storytelling for top clients.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of agency or industry experience.
• 2+ years in direct people-management role.
• Deep relationships with the gatekeepers at People, The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, and beyond.
• Ability to translate a client’s business goals into a creative, multi-layered media campaign.
• Willingness to travel and work select evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead a diverse roster of entertainment accounts (events, film/TV, podcasts, and brands) from start to finish, serving as the primary strategic partner for your clients.
• Architect comprehensive communications plans across traditional media, digital strategy, brand integration, and talent/influencer ecosystems.
• Leverage a deep network of entertainment and consumer media contacts to secure high-level placements and profiles.
• Direct, mentor, and train junior staff across multiple geographies, fostering a collaborative culture.
• Proactively bring out-of-the-box ideas to drive offline engagement and online virality.
• Partner with senior leadership to craft winning proposals and identify growth opportunities for the agency.
• Oversee large-scale event logistics including red carpets, press conferences, and industry summits.
