Zusammenfassung

Avalara is seeking a senior engineer to own the backbone for lead intake, validation, enrichment, and routing services, plus the Personalization Engine. You’ll influence design reviews and runway planning across AWS, while coordinating with Demand Gen, SDR leadership, and RevOps.

You'll build and harden serverless AWS components, evolve data models in DynamoDB/Snowflake, and ensure secure, observable operations through Terraform and monitoring.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years engineering in MarTech/enterprise systems, including hands-on AWS serverless (Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS/SNS, CloudWatch) and Terraform/IaC.
• Proven database design across DynamoDB and analytics models in Snowflake; strong SQL.
• Integration depth with Salesforce, Marketo, and identity/consent-aware data flows; resilient API patterns and error handling.
• Experience owning high-throughput pipelines and operational SLIs/SLOs.
• Excellent stakeholder communication; able to present trade-offs and lead technical breakdowns for non-engineering audiences.
• Conversion tracking and attribution data propagation across web, RMS/AvaForm, and backend.
• Security-by-design in AWS (KMS, least-privilege IAM, secret rotation, privacy constraints).

Aufgaben

• Build and harden AWS serverless services (Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS/SNS) to validate, enrich, and route leads into Salesforce/Marketo.
• Design and evolve data models in DynamoDB and Snowflake; tune conversion-tracking flows across Google, Floodlight, LinkedIn/Meta CAPI.
• Evaluate and integrate AI-powered capabilities into enrichment/personalization pipelines; define technical requirements with cross-functional teams.
• Write Terraform / AWS infrastructure code and monitoring/alerting to keep the system secure and observable.
