Job summary

Required is a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and eight years of experience, with strong SQL/PL-SQL skills and experience mentoring junior staff. This full-time position is based on campus in Starkville.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related area from an accredited institution.
• Eight years of experience required.
• Experience in higher education enterprise systems is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of software development life cycle and requirements gathering.
• Excellent analytical and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Meet with stakeholders to establish project scope, goals, and requirements
• Design database architectures and manage conversions to new systems
• Perform configuration, implementation, integration, and maintenance for university information systems
• Lead technical projects with planned milestones and status updates
• Provide training and guidance to junior team members
