Job summary

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Senior System Administrator to support mission-critical enterprise applications under CMS portfolios for government clients. The role emphasizes leadership, system administration across Windows and UNIX/Linux, and ongoing modernization with cloud and DevOps practices.

The position requires TS/SCI with Polygraph, DoD 8570 IAT I Level, and a bachelor’s degree (or 20 years’ equivalent).

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree or 20 years of experience on similar programs
• PowerShell and Bash scripting experience
• System hardening experience
• DoD 8570 IAT I level compliance
• Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation
• Core hours 10:00–14:00 Monday–Friday

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level leadership in administering IT systems and infrastructure
• Manage availability, reliability, security, and performance of enterprise applications
• Support Tier 1 and Tier 2 help desk activities and escalation
• Configure and maintain Windows and UNIX/Linux environments
• Collaborate with engineering for modernization and automation
• Develop technical documentation and baselines
• Mentor system administration staff and promote best practices
• Ensure compliance and operational readiness across hybrid/on‑prem environments
