Job summary

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a DevOps Engineer / System Administrator to advance a modern, scalable infrastructure within AWS. This role covers both unclassified and classified environments, emphasizing automation, reliability, and secure operations.

You will manage Linux/Windows servers, patching, cloud deployments, CI/CD, and performance monitoring while contributing to a strong DevOps culture and robust documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical discipline; 5 extra years of sysadmin experience may substitute for a degree.
• DoD 8570 IA Technical (IAT) Level I is required; IAT Level II certification is desirable.
• Active security clearance with polygraph is required.
• Ten years of relevant experience supporting Federal Government programs/contracts.
• Experience designing and operating AWS cloud-based infrastructure and automation.
• Experience administering Linux-based servers, patching, performance tuning, and security hardening.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current system and plan enhancements and improvements.
• Provide production support for mission-critical systems and applications.
• Troubleshoot and document problems, assess impact and resolutions.
• Manage patches on Windows and Linux systems.
• Perform cloud deployment and management.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployments.
• Monitor performance and recommend improvements.
• Conduct continuous testing across development stages.
• Maintain documentation and help implement a DevOps culture.
• Support PKI certificates lifecycle management.
