Job summary

Northern Technologies Group (NTG) seeks an Information Technology Subject Matter Expert - Enterprise Storage & Backup to support health, sustainment, and modernization of government enterprise storage environments. The role spans on-prem and cloud, with emphasis on MIS guidance, security, and vendor optimization.

This full-time, on-site position requires a SECRET clearance and DoD experience. Responsibilities include documentation, training, incident management, and disaster-recovery support.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and a current SECRET clearance are required.
• Extensive hands-on experience with enterprise SAN, NAS, and backup technologies.
• Experience with DoW/Federal IT environments and security compliance.
• Strong vendor evaluation, documentation, and training capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assess and modernize enterprise storage/backup capabilities with vendors.
• Provide MIS guidance, risk assessments, and contingency planning.
• Develop as-built docs and training materials for storage staff.
• Administer storage/backup infra, manage policies, and perform restores.
• Apply updates, DISA STIG configurations, and support audits.
• Resolve tickets and support 24/7 outage scenarios as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotations and travel for DR/continuity.
• Prepare security assessments, vendor reviews, and reporting.
