Job summary

ITAC Solutions in Birmingham, AL is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to own enterprise server infrastructure, virtualization, storage, and Windows server initiatives in a complex datacenter environment.

You will design, implement, and maintain VMware vSphere, SAN storage, and AD/DNS/DHCP services, lead patching and lifecycle management, and collaborate with networking, security, and application teams.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years in a similar role.
• Hands-on VMware vSphere administration including ESXi, vCenter, vMotion, and HA/DRS.
• Enterprise Fibre Channel SAN experience with LUN provisioning and fabric zoning.
• PowerShell automation expertise.
• Advanced knowledge of AD Sites & Services, DFS Replication, and DHCP Failover.
• Experience with storage platforms (Pure Storage, EMC, or HPE MSA).
• Certifications such as VCP, MCSE, or Azure Solutions Architect are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise server infrastructure.
• Manage VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, HA/DRS, and virtual networking.
• Administer Fibre Channel storage and enterprise SAN environments.
• Lead Windows Server deployment, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, and DFS.
• Manage SQL Server infrastructure and clustering.
• Partner with networking, security, and application teams.
