Job summary

The role requires deep experience with cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes, and cross-team influence, delivering scalable, auditable pipelines and governance across the engineering organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering or platform leadership on distributed, high-availability systems.
• Experience in payments, fintech, merchant services, or regulated transaction-processing domains.
• Ownership of an enterprise CI/CD platform with pipeline-as-code, RBAC, and governance.
• Experience integrating security scanning into delivery pipelines.
• Knowledge of engineering delivery metrics (DORA) and their use.
• Depth in API and integration architecture: REST, async messaging, API lifecycle governance.
• Cloud-native architecture and Kubernetes in production.
• Ability to influence technical direction across teams without formal authority.

Responsibilities

• Own the Harness platform as the enterprise delivery platform, including architecture and RBAC.
• Define reusable CI patterns, templates, and governance as the org scales.
• Define deployment strategies (canary, blue-green) and GitOps workflows.
• Set policy gates, exemption workflows, and remediation SLAs for security.
• Establish engineering metrics and guardrails for system-level visibility.
