Job summary

HNI Corporation in Muscatine, IA, seeks a Sr. Manager, Enterprise Network Operations to lead the reliability and performance of LAN/WAN/SD-WAN, voice and UCaaS, across global sites, while modernizing the network stack with IT leadership.

The role requires 10+ years in enterprise networking and 5+ years leading teams, with 50% onsite presence. Reporting to IT leadership, you will partner with cybersecurity, cloud, and application teams to align networking with business needs and digital

Qualifications

10+ years in enterprise network engineering, network operations, or telecommunications roles.
5+ years of experience leading network or telecommunications engineering teams.
Experience managing network connectivity across hybrid environments spanning cloud and on-premises platforms.
Strong background in enterprise network architecture, routing and switching, and network operations at scale.
Experience supporting large multi-site enterprise environments, including manufacturing or distribution facilities.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the long-term operational strategy and project roadmap for enterprise networking and telecommunications, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, cloud connectivity, and voice services.
Collaborate with architects on network roadmaps that support application modernization, digital workplace initiatives, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
Ensure network architecture and operations align with enterprise architecture standards, cybersecurity requirements, and regulatory compliance.
Evaluate emerging network technologies and industry best practices to improve reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Oversee the design, administration, and evolution of enterprise LAN, WAN, and SD-WAN environments across locations.
Ensure enterprise wireless networks deliver reliable, secure coverage and performance.
Ensure secure connectivity through routing, switching, firewall, VPN, and network access control technologies.
Support cloud and data center connectivity, including Azure, AWS, OCI; manage dedicated cloud circuits and interconnects.
Oversee core network services (DNS, DHCP, IPAM, load balancing) with infra and security teams.
Own enterprise telecommunications services (VoIP, PBX, SIP trunking, UCaaS) and carrier portfolios.
Manage procurement and lifecycle of network/telecom tech; negotiate contracts.
Lead collaboration with facilities and manufacturing for site builds and IoT segmentation.
Communicate network strategy and performance metrics to senior leadership.
