Job summary

Presidio is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect for the New York metropolitan area to lead network and security engineering efforts in a pre‑sales capacity. You will gather requirements, craft end‑to‑end solutions, and present them to customers, leveraging partnerships with Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto Networks, VMware, and others.

The ideal candidate brings extensive networking and security experience, strong communication skills, and a track record of delivering scalable, resilient solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, equivalent professional experience and/or relevant military experience.
• 7+ years of experience in enterprise networking and security solutions.
• One or more certifications such as Cisco CCDP, CCNP, or CCIE.
• Experience with VAR/consulting/systems integration or professional services is preferred but not required.
• Proven experience translating business requirements into practical technical solutions for customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-level, end-to-end technical solutions encompassing hardware, software, licensing, and services.
• Gather, analyze, and document customer business and technical requirements.
• Design full-lifecycle network and security solutions from concept to implementation and support.
• Lead technical discovery sessions and whiteboard discussions with customers and internal teams.
• Create customer-facing presentations, proposals, and solution documentation.
• Deliver architecture reviews and product demonstrations.
• Develop hardware configurations and bills of materials (BoMs).
• Create statements of work (SoWs) and pricing for professional services.
• Prioritize workload and collaborate with sales teams to build customer relationships.
• Maintain and expand technical expertise and certifications.
