Job summary

Cucamonga Valley Water District seeks a skilled Network Administrator to build, secure, and sustain enterprise networks, servers, and cloud infrastructure in a mission-critical environment. You will help protect the district’s information systems and support water services infrastructure.

The role emphasizes advanced security, SIEM and firewall management, and collaboration with IT leadership on budgeting, disaster recovery planning, and enterprise technology initiatives.

Qualifications

• Five years of progressive experience operating and supporting enterprise systems, database applications, design and development; installing and maintaining enterprise software; and programming and systems analysis experience; installing and troubleshooting networks, Cloud, Windows server operating systems, Microsoft O365, Active Directory, and networked equipment including fiber optics.
• Five years of experience administrating, configuring, maintaining, and upgrading LAN/WAN hardware and operating systems.
• Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related fields; IT security certifications; CCNA/CCNP recommended.

Responsibilities

• Install, support, and maintain networks and servers; participate in training other IT staff on servers, network equipment, firewalls, and enterprise systems.
• Maintain and operate a variety of office equipment and ensure reliable communications infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain enterprise software, database programs, and support cloud infrastructure needs.
• Maintain documentation of data systems and network infrastructure.
• Monitor network, systems, printers, job queues, and logs; adjust as necessary.
• Manage security measures, risk assessment, auditing, and internal controls.
• Modify or enhance programs to meet users’ needs; troubleshoot and repair systems and equipment.
• Administrate system backup, data retention, and recovery of data files.
