Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator/Engineer for a contract-to-hire role in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. The candidate will provide enterprise networking expertise and system administration across Windows servers, AD, Exchange, and SQL databases, while collaborating with vendors and internal teams.

The role requires strong routing, switching, and security skills, with Check Point and Cisco experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience as systems administrator/engineer.
• Must have two mid-level or higher certifications from Cisco/Juniper/Palo Alto/Check Point or equivalent bodies.
• Strong enterprise networking knowledge with routing protocols (OSPF/BGP/IGRP/EIGRP) and TCP/IP.
• On-site 5 days a week and on-call for network issues.
• Reside within ~40 miles of Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

Responsibilities

• Be technically deep and capable of vendor communication; problem solver and service oriented.
• On-site work five days per week; on-call for network issues.
• Support ongoing infrastructure upgrades and SDWAN transition; strong Check Point experience a major plus.
• Collaborate in a mature shop while avoiding silos and pressure to tier upward.
