Encore Talent Solutions is seeking multiple experienced Enterprise Network Engineers to support, maintain, and enhance a large-scale enterprise network. The role is on-site at a datacenter near Pittsburgh, PA, with a hands-on focus on Cisco switching and wireless.

The ideal candidate will diagnose complex LAN/WLAN issues, implement changes through formal change-management processes, and collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure reliable day-to-day network operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of enterprise network support in a complex environment.
• Hands-on Cisco Catalyst switching experience.
• Experience with LAN/WLAN troubleshooting and incident resolution.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support for enterprise LAN and WLAN infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex network incidents involving switching, wireless, routing, VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, DHCP, DNS, and TCP/IP.
• Configure and maintain Cisco Catalyst switching infrastructure.
• Support wireless environments using Cisco Catalyst 9800 Controllers.
• Use Cisco Catalyst Center for management, visibility, and troubleshooting.
• Assist with network access control including Cisco ISE and 802.1X.
• Utilize ThousandEyes and other tools to identify performance issues.
• Investigate LAN/WLAN incidents and drive resolutions.
• Plan changes per change-control procedures.
• Document configurations and standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve issues.
• Participate in NOC/MSP operations.
• Explore automation using Python/Ansible/APIs.
• Follow security, documentation, and change-management standards.
